Room 5 Newsletter, Term 4 2013

Dear Parents and students,
Haere mai and welcome back to school for Term 4. I hope everybody had an excellent spring  break with a few adventures to tell us about. I made it over to Japan for two weeks to stay with my wife’s family. The highlight for me and the boys was definitely riding on the shinkansen bullet train which is one of the fastest trains in the world. We hit speeds of over 300 km/hr!

Term 4 will be a very interesting term as there is a lot planned both inside and outside of the classroom. It is very important that everybody keeps their green sun hat at school and uses it throughout the term to protect our faces from harmful UV rays. A hat with a wide brim is essential for that.

Also please make sure that you have a fresh set of pens and pencils and check that you have enough room in your books to get you through the term.

If you have any questions about anything at all, please don’t hesitate to email me on: matthew.thomas@springston.school.nz
Ngā mihi mahana ki a koutou (warm regards to all),

Matt Thomas
