Museum Trip

Today we visited the Canterbury Museum and learnt all about Kiwiana and early history of Canterbury. It was a great day and we were very lucky with the weather. The next task is to present what we learnt in the form of digital books on the iPads. Stay tuned for that one!

Life Education

Today we had our first of two Life Ed lessons. We are learning how great it is to be who we are.

Rugby Fun Day

Today two teams from Year 5 and 6 participated in the rugby fun day in CHCH. Well done to both teams. It was great to see you all play hard today! Ka pai koutou.

Scotland Postcard

Dear Mr T,
I am writing this from the limestone caverns in Scotland! I have been dumped here for half a day with just a flat flashlight and my lunch box. The atmosphere here inside the cave is dark, gloomy, and wet. I have been trying to get my torch to work but I cant see the dynamo. This means that I have to stop writing this postcard to you because I'm running out of light.

However one good thing about it is that I get to play with my cousin. On the other hand my Grandad passed so we had to have a funeral. It was a sad day for us. Lake Daniels Postcard

Dear Mr T,
I am writing this postcard to you from lake Daniels. I have been here since Christmas. So far the weather has been sunny in the afternoons and cold in the mornings. The best thing about lake Daniels is going on the lake, building a boat out of ferns, and making friends. We made three or more! The bad thing was that there were some mean girls who competed with our boat. They even cheated and stole ferns and destroyed someone's stick house. Luckily they stopped in the end.

Glacier Postcard

I am writing this postcard to you from the West Coast. I have been here since last Sunday with my family. So far the weather has been wet and horrible.

The best thing about my holiday was going to the Franz Joseph glacier and seeing how far it had moved and shrunk in thousands of years. On the other hand it was raining when we where walking so we got soaked from head to toe.

I am writing this postcard from Narnia. I have been here since Monday on my own with the Sentaurs, Minetors and the Griffins! Their leader is a great lion named Asland.  So far the weather has been great. Tomorrow we are having a war.  The best thing about it is that I will get to verse the bad guys.  I hope we win so we can make peace with the other tribes.  On the other hand we could lose, but we have Griffins that will drop boulders at the start.  They will take out most of the bad guys.

my family. The weather was fine until it started drizzling so we had to leave. The best thing about

I am writing this postcard to you from the sunny Gold Coast. I have been here since November 30th with my family and some neighbours. So far the weather has been extremely hot. The best thing about the hotel here is the peaceful games room. Movie world is also smashing! Jackson went on the super man roller coaster. On the other hand I got sun burnt so had to wear a hat all day.

Kowhai Postcard

Dear Mr T,

I am writing this postcard to you from Kowhai Residential School of Riding in View Hill. I have been here since Wednesday the 17th and will leave Sunday the 21st. I am here with Mrs T, my instructor and my friends, Brittany, Rex, Amber and Jordan. So far the weather has been amazingly perfect. The best thing about being at Kowhai for five days would be getting to bring my own pony, jumping the mounting block and getting to ride my friend's ponies, Wairaki and Toby. On the other hand, I had to clean out Dolly's paddock. I hope you are having a great time in the North Island.

Horrible Holiday Postcard

Dear Mr T,
I am writing this from home. The weather has been pretty rotten with thunder and lightning, that sort of thing! I am now painting my Warhammer which are little models that you paint up in a army then battle against others. This will look wonderful when finished. However it takes a long time. Te Waihora Physical Challenge

Well done John for tramping all the way up to the Sign of the Packhorse hut. This is a famous old hut next to Mt Herbert on Banks Peninsula. Tino pai!
