Museum Trip (Zoe)

Last Friday we went to the Canterbury museum. There were five people in my group including Sophia our parent help. We left school at 9:00am on the bus. When we got to the museum the weather was fine with a chilly breeze blowing.

First we went and explored the museum in our groups. We went down the old Canterbury street and into the chilly Antarctica room where there was a snow mobile. I jumped on it and had a long diver through the snow.

Next we learnt about kiwiana. We did a quiz about kiwi icons and then we went to the Paua house. The girls went to the movie first and then the house with the pauas on the walls. I liked the movie about the paua house because it showed you how long it took to make the house with the pauas.

After that we listened to Anthony tell us some stories about myths and legends about the moas and most of the animals that have died along time ago.

I thought about the trip was a lot of fun because we watched a movie about the paua house in Bluff.
